Working bees

We hold regular working bees from March through until November. New people are very welcome and no experience is required. We show you the process of planting which is quite simple. All you need to bring is a pair of gardening gloves and we will provide the rest!

Our main working bees are monthly on a Sunday from 10am till 12pm. In 2026 we will be largely working around the Phillips Fox Billabong, Glenard Billabong and Annulus Billabong.

The major focus of these working bees is planting shrubs, grasses and wetland plants to improve biodiversity of the park.

Sunday June 21st. Community Planting Day – 10am till 12pm

Next working bee is a Community Planting Day at Annulus Billabong – northern side.

For this event no experience is required and you can just turn up. All you need to do is bring gardening gloves.

2nd and 4th Wednesday mornings of the month at 10.30am

April 22nd is at Glenard Billabong

These working bees a more varied with planting and maintenance work.
