The next working bees will be on Sunday, June 20th (depending on Covid-19 restrictions)
We are doing a large planting programme near the Annulus Billabong at present.
We aim to plant around 800 plants, mainly shrubs which will increase the biodiversity of the area to keep the local insects and birds happier.
It will be a streamlined affair with the site prepared by Parks Victoria beforehand.
We use cordless drills to make the holes and then one stake to hold the guard in place.
Start time is from 9.30am on and we will finish around midday.
The work area is through the gate off the Main Yarra Trail 400m south of the carpark.
Bring: Stout boots, gloves, a trowel if you have one and a drink bottle.
We will provide all the other implements required and some morning tea.
All are very welcome to join us in what will be a enjoyable morning to catch up with other locals.
